The outdoor arena is situated next to holding yards and a fully equipped crush.There is a covered lunge/round yard, indoor stables, hot and cold wash bay facilities and on-site float parking. Both businesses work in conjunction with each other for guests looking for a little something extra when staying in the Hunter Valley.
We have an extensive breeding programme using frozen semen. We have a selection of frozen semen for sale from our award winning stallions that are no longer with us. Our semen is stored in specialised facilitates throughout the country.

We have hosted many events from show jumping clinics, dressage clinics, equine assisted learning programmes (corporate training) EA DNA testing days, one on one riding lessons for coaches and natural horsemanship clinics to name a few. We even have the ability to host you and your guests for horse themed weddings. We have a number of accommodation options for guests who want to stay with their horses. This information serves to outline rules and regulations related to the management of Argentille Equestrian Centre & Boutique Accommodation as guided by the Equestrian Federation of Australia and the Australian Horse Industry Council to ensure the safe and efficient running of the property.
Agistment is offered by Argentille Equestrian Centre in private and shared paddocks. All agistees must sign an Agistment contract and Horse Riding Waiver prior to bringing their horse onto the property. Agistment fees commence from the day your horse arrives at Argentille Equestrian then subsequently on the first day of each month. Hours of operation are from 7am to 4pm but may change seasonally and otherwise arranged. Agistees and visitors should be aware that there are surveillance cameras installed on the property hours. Float parking for full board clients is charged at an extra charge. Only full board clients may have this option.Tack rooms are at an extra charge.
Any other services ie rugging, fly masks etc all have extra charges.
The facilities are available for use by agistees but agistees do not have exclusive rights to their use. The facilities will at times be hired out for private clinics. Arenas may be closed for maintenance as required. All reasonable efforts will be made to inform agistees of arena closure for these purposes. All riders on the property must sign the waiver before mounting their horse/ a horse. Australian Safety Approved helmets and appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.Riding outside designated areas MUST be walking pace with due consideration given to pedestrians and other horses. Only one horse should lead at a time.
Please ensure gates are closed and secured when riding. Riders must ride left hand and/or slower gaits to be ridden on the inside track. No lunging or “At Liberty” work is permitted in the indoor arena. Manure must be picked up and disposed of in the areas specified by staff. Arena lights operated by a user must pay $10 per hour or part thereof.
The outdoor arena rules are the same rules applied in the indoor arena.
Lunging and “At Liberty” work is permitted in the round yard only. Only one horse in the round yard at any given time. Please remove manure on leaving yard.The outdoor rules are the same rules applied in the indoor.
Agistees are welcome to use the stables if they provide all care for their horse whilst stabled. Costs apply. Management must be notified of the intended time, length of stay.Anyone using the stables must provide or pay for their own bedding and once finished using the stable make sure it is thoroughly cleaned.
Undercover yards are provided for the temporary use by agistees or visitors. Manure and any discarded feed must be picked up and disposed of on leaving.
A hot and cold water wash bay is located within the indoor arena and there is a second outside the arena. They are available for use by agistees and visitors. Manure and any rubbish (detergent bottles, horse hair, rubbish etc) must be removed and placed in the bins provided and not washed down the drains.
Agistees that have horses in private and or shared paddocks are permitted to park in the designated arena parking areas. All other visitors are to leave their cars in the visitor parking area. A speed limit of 10 kilometres per hour or walking speed must be observed. Farriers have a designated park and work areas. Floats may be parked in designated area only and are stored at the owners risk. Argentille Equestrian accepts no responsibility for any damage sustained to vehicle, floats or trucks parked on the property.
The bathroom is (located in the indoor) for use by agistees and visitors. Please ensure it is left clean and tidy. There is no smoking. The fridge must not be used to store any medication. The staff room also houses Emergency Phone Numbers and Policy and Procedure forms.
A first aid kit is located and clearly marked in the indoor arena. Please inform management if you have used any items from this box so we may the item.

In order to hire the facilities the club must affiliated with the EFA, HRCAV, AQHA or PCAV or have evidence of public liability insurance. To instruct at Argentille Equestrian, the coach must be both qualified and insured. The coach must provide Management with a certificate of insurance as evidence of public liability insurance adequate for the activity they intend to conduct. All riders must sign a waiver prior to mounting. The waiver completed forms become the property Argentille Equestrian Centre. Any incident leading to an injury must be reported to management by the club using the Incident/Accident and Injury Report. Copies are located onsite.
ARENA CLINIC HIRE NB: A cleaning (holding deposit) of $500 will be taken on hire of arena. This will be deducted in the event that the arena and any yards used are not left as requested by management.
Smoking is not permitted near horses and or others. There are certain areas designated for smoking outside. Alcohol is not permitted before and or during horse riding.
A risk management and safety plan is located in the arena notice board. This may be viewed by agistees and visitors should all make themselves familiar with it.

An incident/accident report must be filled out after any accident regardless of severity as soon as possible after the event. Staff will write in the daily diary. This report must be filled out by the affected person and any witness if available and given to management. The forms are located near the notice board.
